3rd week in and already and I'm diving into proposals for employee engagement events (Which have been approved by the way, THANK GOD), engaging in Corporate social responsibilities programs, writing press-releases, being booked for corporate events as an emcee in the following month, assisting in events, and I was also offered a permanent placement at my workplace. This is so overwhelming, but in a good way.
What I've learned these 2 and a half weeks is that, in life? So many things will be thrown at you and you'll be tested on how well you can juggle it all. Bear in mind, this isn't a hate post. Just merely expressing my thoughts on how this week has been so incredibly intense.
The 2nd week was one of those weeks whereby I felt that I've been with the company for ages. Now a lot of people might think that's a bad thing, but in all honesty it's not. It shows productivity, even in a short period of time (2 weeks) I've learned so much and also I've been given the opportunity to utilize my skills.
Furthermore, I've learned to be really analytical and patient with my work, ensuring that I produce quality service and product for the benefit of the company. I say this due to the number of press-releases I've been writing for the media with regards to the CSR programs the company has been involved in. It is essential because, press-releases are basically what helps improve a companies image in the industry and also the make the public known and aware of their activities.
In addition to that, I also feel that I've improved in terms of how I deal with others. I'm pretty sure a lot of you reading this can relate. When working in a BIG company? You're bound to come across some strong working personalities and I felt that this week in particular was when I learned to actually humble myself and take one for the team.
Dealing with big personalities has thought me that you can never please everyone and also take it as a blessing in disguise. An opportunity to be better if you must. I thank God for my colleagues Billy and Enki and of course my supervisor Tn. Haji for guiding me and ensuring I keep my head in check. Apart from the skills and knowledge you gain from interning, an opportunity like this also provides a chance for self-discovery as well as self-improvement. These are the things I feel that really makes my journey interning at the Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad worthwhile.
Till next time, friends.

I gotta say, it's the same here where I'm working too. It is hard to please everybody. Best of luck to you
