Almost at the finish line.

I see it.

This week has been so hectic. I've released a big sigh of relief due to the fact that the 2 major events of this month has ended and I must say it went off pretty okay.

                                                               "The Host"

"Government Official Yang Berhormat Tn Dennis Ngau State Assemblyman N77 Telang Usan, Officiating the event"

"Company engagement event (Merris Pokemon Beach Party)"

Weeks has passed and these two events have been heavily discussed since I first got here and now that it's finally over? I think to myself. What now?

But nonetheless, everything seems to have gone back to normal here in SOPB. No more phones blowing off the roof, no more staff members from other departments coming in and us from the PR department going out to get things done for these major events. All seems so calm and quite now and also, things are back to normal.

I'm back to my usual media monitoring, media clippings, updating staff members on current events related to the Palm Oil industry in Malaysia and how it impact the Company.

The only thing left for me to do is edit the corporate video. I'm not gonna lie, I am not gonna miss it. I'm honestly at a point whereby I am really drained. Now, don't get me wrong, don't expect me to say that internship is all rainbows and sunshine, you guys deserve my honesty.

It's hard work.

But since we are being honest here, I am still grateful and I bear no resentment nor do I bear any ill-hearted feelings. This is the real world guys, and I am glad that I got to have a taste of it and I can honestly say, I know what to say when I get a head start on my first real PR job after graduating.

I've learned from last week that, always make sure that everything is on point, because if you miss out on even the slightest detail? everything can come crashing down.

I also learned that, not everyone possess the skills and attributes of a real leader. Real leaders, not only help guide those below them but also does the work with them which is something that I find really important.

Aside from that, I've also learned that in a working environment? You'll meet with people who wont be willing to do the job because they're afraid, or lazy, or they just want to push you around. My advice, if you want something done right? You gotta do it yourself. Have courage and just do what you gotta do and get things done!

keep close those who you know you can rely on when you're working, otherwise? you'll be that one target everyone will just throw things at you to have done.

So far, that's all the tea I have gained from the past week. Still grateful, but now with a clearer perspective.

Till Next time,

"You're never wrong to do the right thing"

It sounds like you have had the opportunity to work on some fantastic events during the time of your placement! How cool does that giant pokeball look
