My last day at Spacemarket turned out to be on MANY's second birthday party and I couldn't have asked for a better send off!
We had been preparing for the event for a while now and everything was coming together. We had designed information pamphlets, done flyer drops, contacted media, bloggers, arranged a photographer but I was still scared, would anyone show?
Setting up on the day and making sure that everything arrived on time, such as the DJ, food, beverages was fun and the whole place was bustling as the retailers made sure their shop spaces looked spick and span.
Contingency measures were taken when the donated drinks didn't arrive on time! No problem, we popped down to the bottle shop and picked up four extra cartons.
And then people started to arrive!
As they slowly trickled in it started to feel like it was going to be a success. There was a good crowd and people and they looked like they were really enjoying themselves. It is was only now that I could relax. I felt like we had succeeded and it was time to enjoy the party too. Here is a picture of a friend and myself at the birthday...
I was pleasantly surprised when the person I had been working under pulled my aside and gave me a lovely gift. She has taught me so much and it was just the most lovely gesture, I could not thank her enough for the experience.

And that's a wrap! The party was over and my internship was over. I hope that I get to work on further projects with everyone at Spacemarket and MANY as it was a great experience and I learnt a lot!
