Always be presentable

Not only to be presentable during PR presentations in class we also have to be as well as in field....One have to look good, presentable when in a p.r field..Unnecessary piercings, too much make- up,fancy mini clothing dont really work. But in most cases it depend on which company you are working for ,especially for private company those doesn't matter.
One day i came to work then my boss assigned me to attend a workshop where there were top officials of the Ministry of Education, so i had to rush there as i was well dressed and presentable and ready to do my work. All this i have learn from my PR modules that you never know when to meets with clients.
During registration, i stood up say my name and were I come from and to my surprise everyone was happy at me during the group discussion we had at the conference. They also thought that i am a full time but not an intern because of the confidence I had and interacting with them during the workshop that lasted for 3 days. In dealing with your clients you have to look presentable at all the time,in that way you are making them have hope in you and your company.
So all i can say is that in future learn to be presentable everyday you go to work as you will never know what can happen during the day.

My experience at TNT

Being at TNT exposes me to a lot of things not only PR related but also related to the field of Mass communication. TNT indulge less into PR activities such as stakeholder relations; employees and clients relations, the general public as its audience and viewers as well as government relations and also more onto editorial. my first day i was to read past articles to get familiar with how the company works and some of mi colleagues helped me with what i lacked.

We also had meetings every Monday which involved the whole staffs, were assigned of what to do and to meet deadline on Wednesday as there is a new edition every Friday . This meetings builts up my skills on fulfiling the roles of planning, understanding as administrative staff, work and time management as well as managing my communication efficiently.
Being part of the TNT has made me to recognise the connection between an company and stakeholders. i realized very well that employees are the heart of the ocompany as they must be informed. Advertisements were taken to the black board so that the advertising team can be able to see them so that they will follow up the clients and not to miss out any adverts to be put in the edition.

i'm so glad to be among the loving family 'TNT' with spirit of togetherness.

Public Relations + Journalism= Success

Helo gud pips....Gone are the days, aniwa what i have learnt during my internship is that Public Relations go hand in hand with journalism because PR can't succeed without working with the media to disserminate information to the key publics.
working for a media outlet is was quite good and i felt i was really working there for good but not just for 2 months. The company had editorial, advertising with less Public Relations. i was more into editorial as i wrote news especially feature articles as i likes meeting people and did interview them before writing articles (you can see that meeting clients and interviewing them is also part of PR). we (me and my collegues) were invited to workshops, event to cover them up and help make it success. All i can say now is that i am ready to go out there and face the world....

Had a good working time at TNT

Its been a while since i updated everyone on what i have been doing. As you all know Public Relations is a very broad field and i did my intern in a small media outlet. Working for The Ngami Times newspaper was challenging firstly when i got there as i was dealing with clients but i did enjoy writing feature articles and news.

I did conduct interviews, going to meetings and workshops on behalf of the company. This really helped me a lot as i had chance to meet with different people especially from the different ministries and both non-profit and profit organizations. I also met artists and working with the community at large.

I felt weird and in a bad mood after i realize that my working days were numbered at TNT because i was going to miss all the friendly staff especially those i went on field with them.
