Final Reflective Blog!

Hey Everyone,

I have completed my 20 days internship with Asuar Design. I am really glad that I have had the opportunity to work alongside Lauren and do PR work for Asuar Design. It was an amazing experience working with Asuar and I am pretty sure I will not get the same in any other companies that I will work with in the future. The internship was great as I felt comfortable and fit right in even on the first day working in the studio. Lauren was really helpful and organised, guiding me through what I needed to do during my internship with Asuar.

During my last week with Asuar Design, we were busy preparing for Telstra Perth Fashion Festival, Vogue Online Shopping Night and Asuar being presented on Vogue during the next couple of month's issues! In my final few days in Asuar Design, I have contacted more celebrity agencies to collaborate with more celebrities. As I have stated in my previous posts, Melanie Vallejo will be wearing Asuar Design. Apart from that, I have also collaborated with Sophie Monk and Sylvia Jeffreys.

Also, during the last week with Asuar Design, I have been involved with photo editing and website designing. This is because the Spring and Summer 2014/2015 collection, will be presented during the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival and available on the online website on the 20th of September 2014. I have used my personal skills and knowledge to mock up an online page that Lauren wants. Communicating with the website guy was quite a challenge as we are online able to communicate online to make website amendments. Gladly, the website is up and running perfectly now and look as how Lauren wants it to be. Huzzah!

I am proud to say, Asuar did a fantastic show during WA Designer Runway on Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. I was very lucky to be able to attend the event as a VIP and got to experience front row seat watching the runway. During the event, I met up with other PR 393 interns. It was great meeting up and catch up with how their internship is going.

Asuar Design is featured in a few magazines after the event. I have also contacted other magazine companies to see if they would feature Asuar Design on their magazines. It is all about promoting your label and company to get more exposure. Next Asuar will collaborate with a new Perth based magazine named Vashti. In addition, Asuar will be featured on Vogue Australia in the November 2014, December 2014 and January 2015 issue! I am so excited to see Asuar develop nationally and internationally! I look forward to seeing pictures posted up from all the celebrities that I have collaborated with wearing Asuar Design.

Sadly, the internship has come to an end. I wish the best for Asuar Design and I appreciate all the great experience the company has given to me.

4 more days to Telstra Perth Fashion Festival!

If you guys have been reading my previous posts, this is currently my third post on PR393 Reflective Blog :) I have been doing my internship with Asuar Design for the last couple of weeks and it has been a fruitful experience.

Look Out for ASUAR DESIGN in Telstra Perth Fashion Festival!!!

Last week during my internship, I did pretty much the same stuff I have been assigned to. In addition, it has been a really busy week as Telstra Perth Fashion Festival is just around the corner, there is a lot to get done in the company. We have also other things to get done along side. There is so much to do, and so little time! I have been sending and replying emails to bloggers and celebrity agencies I have tried collaborating with. Seeking new celebrities that is suited to our brand, making calls and emailing celebrity managements. Apart from that, I have been sending out newsletters to new subscribers to the brand to keep them updated with all the latest happenings in Asuar Design.

VOGUE AUSTRALIA

In regards to my previous post, I am happy to announce that Asuar design will be participating in the Vogue Online Shopping Night! I have been helping Lauren out with compiling all the details and documents needed to be a part of the Vogue Online Shopping Night. Last week, we did a full photoshoot for the online shopping website and for the Vogue shopping night site.  have come to realise, there is so much to get done just to sell a single collection. In order to increase more traffic to our social media sites, we have been doing giveaways and uploading more photos on Instagram. As our main platform of sharing our brand information is through Instagram, where followers are able to see images we share, we use Instagram to create our brand awareness. It is important to identify which platform has the highest attraction towards your company and build on that platform, and if possible link it to the other social media platform your company has an account with. This is one of the fastest way to reach mass audience in the social media industry.

In terms of creating a long-term great impression on your brand and promoting a hugely impacted brand awareness, it is crucial that your company has a strong PR plan, to ensure your company has a strategic goal and objectives. I have been working on a long-term PR plan to set out what Asuar Design wants to achieve in the next few years, this includes the budget and execution of events Asuar design is and will partake in the future.

Lastly, I have been working with magazine companies to get Asuar Design featured in a physical and online publications. This is a beneficial way to promote your brand and company. This is because there are still a huge number of people who still buys physical copies of magazines or even subscribe to digital copies of magazines online.
