My internship is coming to an end! I am feeling a bit strange now because I have been used to go to work almost every morning. I would like to thank you guys for giving me advices and helping me out when I needed help. I have found out that the people in my host company really appreciated what I did and did not just ignore me like I thought. I get on very well with them now and I have been offered to continue my internship with them (as PR 393 is finished now)
until the end of June. YES I have accepted! This will give me more experience as they are preparing a couple of events for the month of June and it will surely be a definite plus on my CV when looking for a job. As I have said somewhere before this internship has not only helped me to understand PR in an organisation but it has also helped me to understand the job of everyone in the organisation; ranging from the receptionist to the Managing Director. Everyone is important in a company! The most important part is that I have been able to see that what we have learned at university is not everything- we have more to learn from our elders- yes those old PR managers have a lot to teach us, they know the real thing better than we do! Well dear friends, it was a pleasure doing PR 393 for my final semester and I wish you all the best for your future careers!
Regards,
NiCk

Congratulations on having been offered a placement extension, Nick. That’s fantastic news! The additional experience will truly set your CV apart from those of other students who simply cover the minimum requirements. Have a fantastic time!
Hey Nick.
I totally agree with your comment on the importance of the receptionist to the MD; coz you wouldn't know when you'll ever need a helping or require some decent advise to do your job well.
My personal experience is that what goes around comes around.
Actually, come to think back, if i've just joint a company, it'll be nice to be friends with the receptionist, cause he/she will be the best person to intro you to everyone at the office and even provide an overview as well as guide you on the office's practises, so you'll never go wrong from the start..hehe..
Anyway, my warmest congrats on completing your PR-393.
Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.
Cheers! x(^_^)x
