In this 8 weeks time, I’ve learned lot of experience to my knowledge about Public Relations; and now, I would like to share my experience with everybody.
Public relations involve supervising and assessing public attitudes, and maintaining mutual relations and understanding between an organization and its public. The function of public relations is to improve channels of communication and to institute new ways of setting up a two-way flow of information and understanding.
Public Relations is effective in helping:
1) Corporations convey information about their products or services to potential customers.
2) Corporations reach local government and legislators.
3) Politicians attract votes and raise money, and craft their public image and legacy.
4) Non-profit organizations, including schools, hospitals, social service agencies etc. boost support of their programs such as awareness programs, fund-raising programs, and to increase patronage of their services.
I think this is the lesson I possibly never forget!

Hello Han,
8 weeks?! Ooh, you've completed your internship, i guess. That's good. You've given very clear definition of public relations. It is very true to say that the function of public relations is to improve channels of communication and to institute new ways of setting up a two-way flow of information and understanding. Indeed, i do agree on this point as i believe that in an organization if there is no PR then, it might not be very useful in terms of internal as well as external communication. PR in an organization is very important. It is after being associated in a PR consultancy that i realized its important. We've been doing the theoretical part in class until now. With this internship, i got the opportunity in participating in a press conference, writing releases, contacting people and other crucial task of PR.
Therefore, I would advice you to take the most of your internship even if you've reached the end of it, do your best to build up contacts.
