Hi guys, this is my first entry of my PR393 blog and I am going to share with all of you about my experience in two organizations that I work for my internship... Yes, no doubt... I am working for two organizations which are Boulevard Enterprise and Miri Kaying Association. I get started to work at Boulevard Enterprise since last December 2008 for one month. Actually I am going to continue my internship in February09' because the manager did agree to arrange one of their shopping complex's program for me to handle and at the same time he will help to guide and teach me all along the function. Bet some of you might wondering why only February then letting me involve in their program. This is because in the month of January, the shopping complex had fully filled with the out-source programs due to the Chinese new year season.
However, I still manage to learn something new during my one month practical at Boulevard Enterprise and which able to help me in improving my PR knowledge as well as techniques especially in event management. The colleagues at there were all very friendly yet keen to teach me everything during my internship. Right of my second day working at Boulevard Enterprise, I have got the chance to attend their Head of Department meeting to discuss about their December activity - PESTA BOULEVARD 2008. This is the biggest campaign throughout the whole year of 2008 and it took 17days to run this campaign. There are different kind of entertainment performances in the 17 days which consist of charity model runway gala, both singing performance and competition, cooking demonstration, artist performances, children Christmas party, and countdown concert.
During the one whole month at the company, I have gained of the experiences about how to write press releases in both languages(Chinese and English), they ways to deal with the press during press conferences and some of the knowledge and skills of drafting and working out with the actual budget of the event.
Working at Boulevard Enterprise is really a good experience for me in my future PR field and i really appreciate for everything that the colleagues and manager had taught and helped me in during my internship program! Miss you guys! ^^
