Internship coming to an end...

Hi all!

How have all of you been? Well, it was supposedly my final week at the WA Deaf Society this week but because I was really sick last week, I am delaying internship for a week more to fulfill the requirements.

Well, this internship saw me gaining invaluable experiences. Made new friends (volunteers), pick up a new langugage (Australian Sign Language - Auslan), drafting media releases, designing brochures and simply, learning heaps! I was very fortunate to have my manager, Marisa, to guide me along throughout my internship and taught me many skills beside what I have learnt at uni.

I can strongly say that I have gained alot through this unit and found it very beneficial. It gave me a confidence boost because when I first started the internship, I was very afraid whether I could meet the expectations and standards of the organisation. After getting the hang of the tasks I was given, each day at work seems like a whole lot of fun because I was spending it very wisely and felt that my time was worthwhile there.

I believe that this internship has brought me to a whole new level and prepared me for the next step to my future career. Although this internship may have come to and end, I feel that it is the start to working in the Public Relations field and I am quite looking forward to finding a related job upon graduation.

For now, it's time I compile the report...

Good luck to all to your future and best of luck for the upcoming exams!
