I've just received feedback for an article and a press release that I wrote earlier in the day. I was slightly disheartened to see so many corrections. Some of which I thought was mightly unnessecary. But alas, as an intern, its best I just listen and heed the advice of a senior practitioner. The fact is that there's no way that two people are going to come up with an identical article or press release. How i word my article is more or less up to me. But in all fairness, I did miss a few pivotal points which was sheer carelessness on my part.
I've got quite a few things on my plate this week. National Soup Day is just around the corner and we've planned quite a few media strategies to make sure its a success. We're planning on making a Youtube video and although it may look slightly amateurish because we're doing everything ourselves ( fiming ,editing) , we figure it'll save us quite a bit of money and people may appreciate the fact we're keeping it real and personal.
Trying to organise groups of people to shoot is also quite a task as time is of the essence and people are reluctant to give up time to shoot.
Other than that, I'm busy preparing the design brief for the ad campaign and finding new media contacts to approach this week.
Oh, and i should start on my report soon :S

I had a similar thing happen to me today - I spent a bit of time writing something and had it come back a lot different! It's good to know someone else had the same thing happen to them - it doesn't make me feel so bad about it :) I thought I'd tell you about it happening to me so you can feel a bit better too. I'm sure it happens to everyone anyway.
We can only get better, and their feedback is important to us while we're still learning.
Yeah. Thats how I console myself by telling myself that I'm still learning though most of the time, I just want to smash the computer into pieces. Lol.
