Hi everyone, I am Chloe Gu Yi. Since I have jointed Corporate Communication Department just 2 months so far, I am so happy that I have attended lots of events, such as Certificate Ceremony 2009, Graduation Ceremony 2009, 10th Year Anniversary Celebration, and Curtin Open Day 2009.
Since my head, Renee (PR officer), is one of the graduates in Graduation Ceremony 2009, I was going to cover the job for Renee on that night. It was really a great experience for me since I had chance to handle the press by myself. And Renee had already taught me and let me to observe how to handle the press in the Certificate Ceremony 2009(the date before Graduation Ceremony 2009). So when I handle the press myself the next day, I feel more confident and less nervous.
The third day which is the Curtin Open Day 2009, I also had chance to observe and assist Renee’s job. I learned how to handle the press and how to take care the VIPS and VVIPs.
Other than that, the testimonial I wrote to celebrate our 10th Year Anniversary Celebration also published on The Borneo Post newspaper and Miri Daily newspaper on 5 April 2009. Besides, I also wrote media release and factsheet for Certificate Ceremony 2009 and Curtin Open Day 2009.
I hoped that I can learn more and gain more experience for my last month in Corporate Communication Department.

Hi Chloe, your internship sounds really exciting with all the events that you have handled so far. I believe you must have felt a great sense of achievement and satisfaction to see your write-ups being published and actually used for the events. You are really on your way to build a great portfolio for your career in public relations!
