Hi everyone, I am currently doing my PR internship in and so far what has come to mind is the fact that in PR every detail counts from the inside out(literally!) When representing a company, composure and appearance is a big factor that really counts. When guests arrive, it will be demanded that everyone in the PR department looks completely perfect and how they carry themselves is very important when going into meetings to represent the company. As I have a very observant character, I noticed this each day I have been doing my internship. In PR the skills we learn in class come to life , from press releases and creating an image that represents the company. The dialog that is used in PR is one that is clear and liquid, there cannot be any typological errors. Every detail must be double checked, especially when it is going into the media. I am doping my internship for a company which has its own personal image, which is of creativity and innovation and the image must be maintained and represented, both inside and out.( when the public reads any product from the company , they can see the senses of creativity and innovation and plus the person who is representing the company , looks of presentable.)

I second that observation, every little thing counts, how you handle yourself at work, how you handle your work, your mates and everything else.
some of the thingS we learnt in class I never thot they do work, it was just an amazement to learn that those tactics we used to sing during the class presentation have to be applied. and one thing I believe those presentations and lectures has helped most of us, in situations where you were supposed to have your say in the staff meetings. i really applied them like nobody's business.

Yes I agrre that presentation really matters. Thf first impression really matters if you are representing a company. My lecturere told me that this is why most companies encounrage their staff in formall attire. This will instill in them a spirit of corporate world. I admired the fact that during most of our PR classes we were always advised to wear in formal and belive me that really created a good atmosphere for our class as a communication class.
There is no doubt that the industry has a big surpise for us a 'new comers' but we must be ready.
