Starting to realise that even though you plan and plan things something can always go wrong. We spend so much time on things and it feels as though youve got everything covered but then something little pops up.
Over the weekend there was a little mix up at work where some of the bands rider (what they request when they play at ur venue) didn't turn up. Now this could be a small problem however it turned into a rather large problem. This is because the band that the rider was for are quite well known and all their food wasn't here. This reflects badly on the venue and may result in that band not returning.
You also find that some bands can be very demanding and think that they are the best thing to play at the venue. Luckily for us the band were willing to compromise and the managers came up with an alternative. We later found out the place we order from made a mistake and didn't deliver the food.
This business does all the food every show and there has never been a problem. This just goes to show you that things can go wrong no matter how much organisation and time you put into something. Sometimes its a good idea to double check triple check etc.
