Hi Everyone,
I can't believe it is so close to the end of semester!
It's my first day back in my placement after a couple weeks off. Continuing on from my last entry the WAFL GF weekend was an awesome experience. I helped out on the Sunday at the League GF and got to see behind the scenes how everything works.
To begin my day, I was a little lost (even though I had been briefed). It's funny how even though you think you're prepared and you've commited to tasks for the day, on the actual day things don't necessarily go to plan. There were a few minor hiccups to start the day however after an hour or so we were 'back on the horse'.
My duties were quite simple but a lot of 'to-ing and fro-ing' was involved so by the end of the day I was quite tired. I spent a lot of my time helping others and taking special guests to and from the ground. At one point I was searching for a special guest who I had never met before! All I knew was his name, but had no idea what he looked like!
I learned that even though you can't predict how the day will turn out it's essential to PLAN! Minor hiccups aside the day was a total success. Without the extensive planning and preparation that took place prior to the event, the day would've been a complete mess. With so many minor tasks to complete all at specific timings, it's essential to prepare. Some things will crop up that you just can't control (like the crowd invading the ground during the medal/cup presentation) but hey, just remain level headed, think quick on your feet and everything will be fine :)

Hi Danica,
Time really flies fast and it is so nice to be at the end of the semester.
Planning is essential and important, not only for PR- related job but all jobs. Plans your stuff before proceeding with any jobs will get it done smoothly and it will definitely minimize any hiccups or delays, even eliminate them in the best scenerio. With proper planning, a person will also get the job done with confidence and ease of mind.
Therefore, it will be a good practice to plan before action!
