in preparation of a GTP Opening ceremony( to launch the 1 Malaysia campaign) Alpha Platform PR organised a public Speaking seminar to give tips to all the labs' representatives on how to handle the media and answering some tough questions.
i joined the team at the the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya( Jabatan Perdana Menteri) and had to make sure that all the guests sign up at the entrance, my colleague who is also my mentor showed me how to act infront of the guests, like smiling a lot, greeting them, escorting them to the theatre hall...etc. i also helped in preparing some kit containing all the information about the GTP Opening ceremony which had some anticipated questions that the media commonly ask.
it was a great experience even though i did not get to meet the Prime Minister but his Office was Right next door to the venue...well i got to meet his media spokesperson who worked with other former Malaysian Prime Ministers, it was a real honor for me. i learnt a lot on handling clients which is covered under clients relations, stakeholders....now i feel enlightened on how to handle clients on big ceremonies such as this one.
