an awesome experience!

i completed my internship period this past week and i must say it was a great honor to have been working with the PR company as they really exposed me to a lot of pr work which prepared me for my first job after my studies.

media monitoring, media clippings, news recordings, client event, news release and a lot more is what i got to do while i was with the company. now that i really know what is expected in the office i feel that i am ready for my graduation and getting that first job as a Public Relations person in any company.

i got to understand that time management is very important when you are given work to do so make sure that you do it with your whole heart and not be in a hurry to finish it. make sure that the things you come up with like activities, are humanly possible to do, now this is the reality part.

i am looking forward to putting my whole experiences to work after my graduation and i am currently pushing on my report.

thank you Alpha Platform PR, my colleagues and my lecturers.

Indeed we made it, and it feels so good that we are only moments away from the climax of it all-the graduation.

I agree with you that time management is very important. Every time my supervisor gave me something she would always ask me how long i was going to take on it. She would check up on me immediately at the time i had said i would have finished and would be very upset at me if she found that i had not finished.

She always told me to think of her as a client, and that if i promised a client that i will be done in 15 minutes i should make sure that i am done in exactly 15 minutes. From that point i ensured i allocated every task enough time to avoid having to explain why i had not finished by the time i said i would have.

Well good luck for the future hey. Internship was indeed great and a real eye-opener of how things are in the real world.

And it is a bit different from what we learn in class, even the format of writing press releases and all. My first day at work my boss told me that i should not be surprised because in the real world everything is different. There is a bit of a difference because there is practicality to it and that now you are dealing with a real client. But all in all its an awesome experience like you said!!
