ECER HEADING TO INDIA, this was the heading i used for the news release. One of the big bosses gave me an opportunity to write my first News Release regarding our client, the Malaysian East Cost Economic Region (ECER) which is government owned.
I had a clear idea of what ECER was as i have been doing news monitoring and clipping for the past month, and one of my colleagues explained the client to me at the beginning of my internship.
Using information from various sources, i managed to get statistics and other important information on the relationship between India and Malaysia trade wise.
As a Pr person you must make sure that you write your own article and not just 'cut and paste' information you get from various sources, instead you should use that informationt to guide you in writing your final brilliant piece of work,
i was briefed on how to gather information and using it on the news release so information used must carry proof and be sure about it, to avoid writing something incorrect and face the angry media and the public, this is what i learnt at the end. so guys when given the opportunity to write a news release check thorough if the information you get is correct, just a reminder!!
Will keep you posted!!!
