Work, First Day.

Hello Everyone

Setting my foot at Land Tribunal on my first day at work i could feel am in a very different place from school. People were very busy and concentrating on what they where doing, even when I was shown around the office they just smiled at me over their computers doing their work. Even though this was the case the reception was a very good one and everyone was happy to have me one board.

Land Tribunal is a department in the Ministry of Lands and Housing in Botswana. Land Tribunal acts or is a court which hears and solve complaints against the decisions of the Land boards concerning Tribal land. Being a government department Land Tribunal has a small Public Relations unit (reporting to the main PR Unit of the ministry) responsible for information dissemination and image building. The main responsibility of the unit is customer satisfaction.

This brought to me expectations that I will be working on campaigns to measure and determine the effectiveness of the methods already put in place in relation to customer/client satisfaction and many more. I could see a lot of challenges coming my way during my stay here, some even beyond my control but I was happy that at last i will have the chance to put into practice what i have been learning all along. Its better to have challenges than sit in the office doing nothing as you wont be gaining anything from that. Am hoping for a nice and productive stay here, I wish you all the same.
