Being part of the Media prima corporate team has made me to recognise the connection between an organisation and stakeholders. i realized very well that employees are the heart of the organisation, every step the organisation take, they must be informed. During my task of media monitoring, very important aricticles are taken to the buletin boards so that every employee can be able to see it for the benefit of his or her own knowledge on what the company is doing.
I am also given the task of updating People Connect ( intranet) of which is the platform where employees shares information. This task took me back to recognise the importance of new media which i learned at the Uni. media prima also uses social network platforms to obtain feedback from the public as its audience and viewers. i also realized that internal communication strengthens employee relations because since im engaged in this tasks i have seen employees reacting to the messages posted to them.
Being part of the events organising team has opened my eyes. At the Uni i thought that event is all about launching, promotion, advertising etc. but since my placement at Media Prima, i learned that events are also important in reinforcing employee relations, for example we had two events the Durian feast( internal) and Media Prima family day @ Sunway Lagoon on the 10th july. The aim of this two events was to fortify employee relations.
From now onwards, i have the ability to plan events well since i know all the requirements and with the skills i obtained from Media prima and at the Uni.

In my previous post I did discuss about employee relations as well.However,the level of employee relations in your compnay illustrates the two way symmetrical model of public relations.It is without doubt that employee relations is intergral in the success of the company.
It seems like companies we interning at have the same menu/dishes to serve. Most of us are talking about stakeholder relations. It's a good thing Naledi because it seems like at your company employee relation is the foundation of succress. I believe good employee relation leads to good outside relations like media relation, community relation etc.
what you are says guys is true, and also good employee relations assures 100% security to the company interms of the things that are confidential and this will deminish the rates and posibilities of whistleblowers since the employees are close and share the company information; they share mistakes done by the company.
