Had another event 2 day ago (Blue Sky) and it is probarbly the same concept as National Awareness Day just that I have met up with some problems- the displays materials can't be pasted up due the tent's material (which cause the display to keep falling off!). I had to think on the spot how else can I get the displays up and finally, my colleague and I got them pasted by sticking them on the metal pole. The display layout didn't go as we have planned it to be and not all display materials are used. It was somehow quite awkward to look at but glad that some of the materials can still be displayed.
Lesson learnt: However well you had planned and prepared you are for the event, things might not turn out the way you want it. So, thinking on the spot is critical!
Lesson learnt: to observe the situation and come out with your own "crisis management". As I have mentioned in my first post (The Compassionate Friends- National Awareness Day), my working environment is rather sensitive and sombre at times, I may meet someone whom is rather depress. hence, not understanding what they are experiencing will not put me in the right position to speak directly to them. Thus, thinking beforehand on what how to handle such situation is very much necessary.
Thoughts: next to my tent was a rather engaging organization whom manage to involve family members in to participant in their activity they have planned. I thought it would be good to engage your target audience but how so for mine?! How would you engage TCF's target audience if you were me?
