THE INTERCULTURAL COMMUNITY....SUGAR LUCT

As writing is one of the important tools in writing the manager in our office wanted to see our skills of writing. So I had to write an article looking at the intercultural Malaysia whereby there are a lot of races and religions. I had to consider how the security is like in this country and how as a foreigner I feel like in this country. Because of learning on how to deal with PR at an international level considering some other factors like dressing, food, tone of voice, language, beliefs and all other differences that make us up as human beings I got to understand that it is indeed some racial complexities that we face as human beings in this world that we are living in so as people and mostly in the field of public relations it is not a matter of being subjective but we are the most people who should understand what the world is made of. A good public relations is the one that can make people see that we are together as one despite all the differences that we have as human beings. By that we will be good people who can be an epitome of change and not offended easily, for example understanding that same thing can mean different things based on culture and we should learn to deal with that, just like the way the Malaysians call each other is the same way that we use but for us it is used in dogs, but dogs and human beings are totally different things but unless we understand the intercultural world, we will not be offended by this things.

UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECTING EACH OTHER IS A TOOL FOR PRODUCTIVITY IN ANY PR COMPANY…

special thanks to Public Relations programs,PR300 that is basically on Multicultural environment. this module enlightened us on how to deal with different challenges in regard to cultural differences. we learned how big organisations e.g coca cola work to avoid such cases of offending other races, countries. because as per say what is considered morally right in one's country can never be the same in the other country.

Indeed we have learned a lot in-terms of culture, though it was not an easy thing, especially when dealing with media due to language barrier.
Though the internship i saw how public relations is practiced in a multi cultural country, the topic on culture on international pr 340 class came handy as i realised that every activity done by the consultancy has to consider religion and culture.

Every press release sent out was in 3 different languages been ,Bahasa, Mandarin and Tamil. speeches and other written materials had to be translated also.
Through out the internship language was a bit of a problem especially when updating media lists and media follow up. but in all i enjoyed the experience i am an international person indeed.
