At BPC we founded it significant to show our employees that they are not alone in this world but they have a family by celebrating Christmas party together on the 10th of December 2010, in which many employees were awarded for serving the corporation for so long.
Managing effective communication was one of the things that were being practiced at BPC and was mostly done through the media, but we did not forget our key publics as this are the most significant group of people who are affected by the atmosphere of our corporation or are affected by any changes that the corporation does, this is why we practiced Relationship Management and this was shown through writing Christmas Closure messages to various medias in order to inform the public on closing and re-opening days for Christmas. We sent this to various newspaper in order to disseminate the information through out the country. This was indeed a great experience as i had to write it in English and translate it to Setswana in order to cater for the citizens and non-citizens of our country.

That’s a good work Kereditse Ramatlho, nice experience; I hope you gained some professional skills because working for a big company like BPC is not an easy thing. Communication is one of the basic functions of management in any organization, it builds good relations within the organization and with the people working with the organization like the customers and suppliers, and it also helps in transmitting information, ideas, thoughts, opinions and plans between various parts of an organization. Without good or effective communication an organization cannot easily succeed. There have to be a bond, a relationship so that you can learn the needs of one another.
Hey Kereeditse. I'd say that's a good work done by BPC. First of all, it is very important to reward the employees for a work well done.
It means a lot to the employees, it means that their hard work is appreciated. This motivates them and gives them morale to work even harder. A company has to recognize the performance of its employees and acknowledge their contributions to the company's mission.
This strengthens the employer-employee relationship which leads to good employee relations, and most importantly to a more productive staff. So, that was a very smart decision by your company
