Hello bloggers! I wanted to write about these nifty thumb drives my placement uses in my last blog and forgot but then this week my placement had a discussion about them. These are called USB Credit Cards. On these credit cards the Esplanade Hotels Group provides its current and potential clients with updated information on room rates, conferences facilities, menus and general information. The Sales and Marketing department use these as CDs are considered to be out-dated and it is all about presentation! On one side the credit card promotes Esplanade Hotel Fremantle and on the other side is Esplanade River Suites.
At my placement on Wednesday during daily briefing we were discussing how we should promote conference facilities for an up and coming conference ON A BUDGET. These funky USB Credit Cards are expensive, when you think of printing and packaging costs on top of the actual USB cost.
In the end the discussion was to go with the credit card USBs for the ‘cool’ factor and not use the nice black box to present them. Just a short blog today but just thought I would share as I think they are rad and that is worth it to spend the extra costs to make an impression.

very cool! Can guest re-uses them later by saving documents over the top? My work experience place brings branded USB's to presentations then leaves them with the clients. They act as a branding tool and given the shelf life of a USB, they're not that expensive.

Yes clients can save other files on them depending on the file size. I have seen the branded USB and credit card give it that edge, I agree totally worth the money.

They are a very nifty little promo tool! Good job on deciding to go without the gift box. In my current job we are given a lot of promo gifts from hotels and the box gets thrown away 2 seconds after we get back to the office... it doesn't even get a look-in so why bother?!
