Closing Time

Hey everybody,

It has been a very busy week for me. With trying to get into my report and finishing tasks for my prac I have had trouble finding time to sit down and blog.
I have finished media releases now and they have been sent to my mentor. I was proud of the work I produced and hope that they are written well enough to catch the attention of a few journalists.
The PR for the play has been taken over by the PR officer for the theater but I am in contact with him about the work I have done and the ideas I have. I would love to continue working with him and see the project through until opening night.

For those of you who are interested in the play I have pasted a link to the Playlovers website where you can read up and buy tickets.

It has come to the end of my prac and I can’t help but look back on how much I have learnt. Over the past 9 weeks I have had the opportunity to put my public relations knowledge into good use. I have completed media releases, acted as an interviewer, created media and cast contact lists, I have use my creativity to come up with new ideas and pitched them to my mentors, and much more.

It has been a great learning curve for me and I know I can take the knowledge I have gained into the work force to better myself as a PR professional.

I hope that everybody has had a wonderful time with their prac and that you have learnt a lot and grown as much as I feel I have. I would like to say good luck to everyone applying for jobs and good luck to those who have decided to continue studying.

Thanks guys,

Mark Armandi
