So everything has quietened down here in preparation for the WA Training Awards presentation evening, its kind of scary.
Lately I have been concentrating on the photographic library for the department. I spent last week finding out where we can get the photo's from such as Polytechnic West, Central TAFE and C.Y.O Connor. This week I will be going through and email our contacts at the training providers and hopefully get some great photos so we can get the photographic library up and running!
The presentation dinner is in September so I think everyone is taking a breather and relaxing in anticipation for the busy times ahead. Nothing much can happen until the invites have been approved. Whenever something needs approval it has to go to the director of the marketing and communications team then to the other directors and finally to the director general. It is a long process and makes somethings a waiting game.
Last week and today office politics have flared up. I have never really been in a group with any troubles so this is a bit of a new experience. Nothing major of course but it is funny to see how everyone has their own agenda's and expect the marketing and communications team to do the most amazing things, I wont say what they asked for but lets just say it showed how misunderstood marketing and public relations are to some people. I am not complaining by the way, I really enjoy it here and all the people I have met have been so wonderful and helpful.
