Hello everyone!
My name is Natasha Afzal from Curtin University and I started my internship at NRC Communications last week. NRC Communications is WA’S exclusive agent to film distributors such 20th Century Fox, Dandy Films and more.
The owner of NRC, Natalie O’ Shea was a former PR student at Curtin and begun the business 15 years ago.
The second day, Natalie went through the companies in which she works with and showed me a list of the upcoming films. I watched a few of the trailers to familiarise myself with the movies.
The first event on the NRC calendar is the Glee 3D premiere. I spent the majority of the day preparing the Admin tickets, posters and badges to mail out.
I then accompanied my boss to Innaloo cinemas as she had a meeting with the director of WAAPA in regards to the premiere in order to discuss last minute details.
The second and third day were both similar in terms of my duties. I had spent both days compiling target lists of grass roots organisations or groups for two films; TT3D and Glee 3D Movie. A tedious task, however I found myself getting very much into it!
So, that’s all for now!
I shall post next after the Glee Premiere!
(Although I’m not a gleek myself, I’m surprisingly excited!)
