Well this is my first post, so you all deserve to who I am.
I'm Botshelo Nicky Mothobi from Botswana and currently studying in a Curtin University degree programme in Limkokwing Malaysia and I did my internship at Jo'ish Concepts which deals with creating events, proposals and executing events. I'm a person who easily fit in with everyone especially when language is not a barrier. I can say my six weeks was great with Jo'ish as I worked in a multi cultural environment. Working up early daily was not it but i can proudly say it was worth it at the end on the day as i have learnt a lot from the internship.
Jo'ish Concepts is a company that works closely with the government of Malaysia particularly the ministry of education, tourism and ministry of information. The business under the banner of Jo'ish Concepts creates unique and creative concepts in the form of practical and come up with events that can benefit the government, corporations and people. The event range from sports, tourism, education, culture and music.
I really enjoyed working Jo'ish Concepts simply because they treated each and everyone well, also all the employees were able to converse in English language and that made my time there enjoyable as I also shared about my culture and I felt appreciated since day one.
Apart from school this was my second experience in the work field, I have worked with the National Blood Transfusion Service in Botswana in which I was recruiting blood donors and since i did my internship I realized that every company has its own ways of doing things. My daily duties included reading newspapers, attending meetings and also played part in the marketing field. All I can say is that what I did was more of integrated marketing than just Public Relations.
I really wouldn't have made it big if it wasn't for the fundamentals I learnt from Public Relations modules. The memories about Jo'ish Concepts will carry on and on, and I'm already missing my desk at office.
I just hope you all enjoyed your public relations internship like I did. All the best in life endeavors and bare in mind that the world awaits professionals like you all.
