Hi all!
It has been awhile since my last blog as the uni life has gotten the better of me and I couldn’t find a spare second to write anything.
I still have about 7 days to go before I finish my internship, which I’m getting a little nervous about especially trying to fit in all my assignments due and the massive one due really soon!
I am helping out at my work placement this Friday; we have two events on the same day so we have spilt the group into who is going to what event. I’m going to the one in the morning then rushing over to the second one in the afternoon to help out. Should be a busy day! I found out that I actually get to eat at the luncheon as well and saw the menu so even more excited.
Yesterday, started like any other day was given my tasks for the day, then in the afternoon my boss Bec, got a call from the manager of the lady who is performing on Friday, she said that the performer needed a grand piano to accompany her. This was the first we heard about it so we were call trying to figure out where to get a grand piano from. I can’t even count the number of phone calls I made, no one hired out pianos for once off shows.. Then my boss suggested a place that had digital pianos, so I tried them, and they were so lovely and helpful. They were very keen to lend us a digital piano, and offered to deliver it there and pick it up, all they wanted was too place a banner up which was more than fine! I was so happy that we finally found a piano even if it was digital. There was a great sigh of relief when I reported back on the situation! I finally was able to understand the last minute stress that can happen with an event and how important it is to just buckle down and find a solution rather than stress over it.
And in other good news, because we are working alongside the Perth Fashion Festival, my boss managed to get tickets to a whole bunch of shows and I get to go to the Wheels and Doll baby show :)
