Daily duties for me included looking through all newspaper publications for any mention of the University (Media Monitoring,Probably the oldest public relations tool ) , its top officials, or any of our affiliated parastatals and institutions. I would then write up summaries of the articles, and descriptions of any accompanying photographs. Any advertisements placed in newspapers by any of our affiliated were also duly noted. I also took note of all stories in various publications that were based on media releases. I find this to be quite easy to tackle but again tiring because i had to collect newspaper by myself and moreover if your are a kind of person who can not stand reading for more than 20 minuets, this could be challenging.

it seems you did a quite similar task as mine as i had to read through newspaper articles everyday.
After collecting the publications i would scan them,make copies for different departments in the university and distribute them.
It was challenging for me also as i had to multi task a lot.
hei dear... i bet you had an interesting time and loads of motivation during your internship looking at the fact that there was a lot of reading involved. keep it up and wish you all the best in all your future career.
