Time flies. In a couple of days, it will be the official ending of my Internship with such a wonderful organisation. My time at United Way has been the most fulfilling and rewarding time. Through this internship, I managed to identify what I want to move towards in terms of PR. I saw the importance of Internal Communications within the organisation. It is very crucial that an organisation are able to communciate effectively internally before reaching out to the external audience.
Furthermore to my internship days, I have co-founded a student body of United Way. It can be said as my greatest achievement at United Way. Although our internship has end, however, our relationship continues. I will still be in-charge to oversee the Student United Way project until we have found somebody who are capable of continuing it.
Student United Way is a student led base club. We build long-lasting relationships and Give, Advocate and Volunteer in the areas of Education, Income and Health. I also found it amazing - the extent to how time flies!! My internship went by in a blink of an eye.
I love the feeling of satisfaction and achievement when you have a project that has worked so successfully and you can see such positive outcomes, especially the relationship that you have made from your internship. Relationship building and networking is such an important aspect of public relations.

It's amazing how when we first enrolled into the unit, it felt so overwhelming that we had to find an organisation for us to complete our placement and then practice in a real life situation what was taught in class.
Congratulations on the launch of United Way. On a level I can understand the amount of satisfaction in achieving something that significant after hours of work and perseverance.

Yes, time does seem to fly. I didn't realise when a month of my internship was over too.
Like you, I too understood the importance of internal communication during my placement. Also building relationships helps in networking. I have been offered a job where I completed my placement. I partly believe this is because of the strong relationship i built with members of the organisation.

Hi Aditi, thank you for the comment. I have also read a lot about your placement. I guess a lot of us have grown a lot and took away a lot at the same time with us.
To Bry and Srinali, I guess now its just the beginning to life? Before was all just a practice? But no matter what, we all know we've walked out with something and our school fees are spent on doing the right things.
