Two airport banners done for Hanoi Airport

Hey guys, recently i have been assigned a new task which is to collaborate an airport banner to feature a hotel located in Vietname, Hanoi. Fortuna Hotel has been a loyal client of my company for a long time and had recently decided to revamp everything with new press kits, new photography and videography work done in order to further promote their hotel to a new market with special focus on the working professionals who travel for work purposes.

I had to email the Hanoi airport which is -Noi Bai International Airport (IATA: HAN, ICAO: VVNB), it is the biggest airport in northern Vietnam, serving the capital city of Hanoi. Arrangements was made for a photography as well as a stylist to fly up and i was given the task of settling all the logistics from their plane tickets to what the customer would require. Unfortunately the budget was not able to accomodate me on the trip to Hanoi but it was interesting conversing with our Vietnamese counterparts, the whole process took about a week to complete and now we have the finalised version which would be displayed at the airport for at least a year which is the duration we have negotiated between the airport management and Fortuna Hotel Hanoi.

Above is the two banners which i am quite proud of as it was a team effort combination of the work done, especially with time put in with the digital imaging artist to artfully put together something visually pleasing and attention grabbing with the old and new photos taken. Alright, all the best to everyone, have a good week!

Hi Eliza,
Sounds like a great project you've been working on. I'd be interested to see the changes that were made from the original banner, and find out why your company wanted the change.

In my studies in cross-cultural advertising, I looked at a case study about Singapore Airlines and the cultural perspectives of their advertising. It was particularly interesting to note the differences between each culture and the use of women in airline advertising.

In the case of Singapore airlines, it was discovered that American men favored the use of the child-like Singaporean women over the more'business-like' Qantas women featured in their advertisements in Australia.

Did your company have to conduct any such research?
