Kickin’ it Media Kits and the Little Interns First Event

Hello again!

It’s been busy, busy, busy to say the least! Now where to begin….

Ok so last week was a crazy one.  It started off with me being invited to go along to a media drop.  We went to all the major radio stations and dropped off a product that was launching nation wide that day.  It was an experience! It really showed me how PR truly is a sales job at heart.  Watching Camilla (the girl I accompanied on the media drop) sell the product to the producers in around 30 seconds was something! Such a fun morning and a highlight was that I even got to meet Nathan, Nat and Shaun from 92.9.  Also on last weeks agenda Devahasdin had a big event on for one of their clients so my jobs included preparing media kits, seating signs, name tags, guest lists, more media kits and all that minor but hugely important stuff that goes into an event.  The next day I was back in bright and early to finish off any last minute changes to the tasks I’d been given, then off to uni, then off to the event that night to help out! The event was such a good experience for me to see first hand how much goes into it before and during.  It wasn’t without stressful moments but all in all it was a good night.  Can’t wait to do more events!

Well that's all for now!

Until next time

This sounds like such an exciting opportunity! This past week i have also experienced the stresses of preparing for an event and although busy at times, it has also been a lot of fun :) Hope you enjoy the weeks to come in your internship! Helen x

This sounds like an opportunity of a life time. I am also working at an event company. The truly exciting thing about working in an events company is end product. My event is over and it gave me a lot of joy seeing my hardwork unfold. Don't you think that it is a little difficult to work full time and study at the same time?
Press on!
