Hi fellow interns,
How do you do? Hope you are approaching the end of the semester with a pumped-up spirit! I am coping with workloads and still love doing what I do. Although my internship program is over, the excitement does not stop here. The Archive artist, Meet Uncle Hussain has formed a project band, called Parallax featuring Black, Malaysia's favorite solo artist for the new and exciting reality program for a television show, Versus.
Versus is using the concept of Battle of the Bands, showcasing five local rock powerhouses against one another with the weekly challenge, to rearrange old hit songs and giving it a new spin. During my placement, I was assigned to do a write-up on the band profile to be presented to TV9 and also the press. The fact that the company really trusted my writing skills really made me feel confident and ready to better my performance in the working world soon.
I am always excited towards the weekend, not for Saturday and Sunday, but to be part of the team on every Friday for the Versus Live Show at Space U8, Shah Alam, the first eco-mall in Malaysia.
Parallax has been amazing from the start of the program, getting positive comments from the judges really boosted their spirit to strive even more in the chance of winning the grand prize of $200,000 and be crowned the champion of Versus.

Fans and viewers can vote for their favorite band, and two bands with the highest score are eligible to enter the battle round every week for the weekly cash prize. Although this show requires fans to vote, there will be no elimination rounds for the band with the lowest vote.

The band members are friendly but professional and they made me feel welcomed, even though I am no longer their intern. They still invited me to represent and support them in Versus. I hope they will continue with the project band, Parallax even after Versus reaches their curtain call.
