My adventure at Sachin Sagar studio continues as I begin to enjoy the world of fashion in Mauritius. Working for one of the most prestigious photography companies in Mauritius has its advantages; you get to visit numerous location sites which are not only beautiful but also breath taking. I accompanied Sachin on numerous occasions, visiting five star hotels and wild places in nature. It was a very good experience as I learned protocols on how people from other companies or organisations behave in the professional sphere. Public relations is also about respect and it is vital to know one's boundaries.
For example, one should be careful the way you talk or with jokes, for it might unintentionally offend someone, especially when dealing with international clients. When you work with other companies, you have less control on what is being said to your clients. Furthermore, the difference in culture makes all the difference, what is polite here in Mauritius, can be considered as impolite in another country, so one should always know his client and his respective culture. Photography is not as simple as just going on set and taking photos, it is about making your client feel safe and beautiful, everything must be done with a professional perspective.
In the meantime, in my free time I started to devise strategies to promote the brand image using public relations and the secret lies in knowing your target audience in the present harsh economy.

well that a very good point you have mention here, when it comes to cultural diversity or wrking with international clients, one should certainly set the boundaries.
but in a PR context the most important thing is to never infer things. get it straight or else nothing.
i also had this problem during my place, inferring that french clients might like the way things are done in the Mauritian way. Was huge disaster, they did not like the proposal. things should be done or said accordingly and in respect to each values and ethics.

I`ve notice that you seems to be in your element at Sachin`s Sagar and that this experience is making you growing up.One thing that you mentioned where I can approve is when it comes to work with international clients and with cultural diversity. At the Mauritius Wildlife foundation I can say that i`ve been working with people from various countries. Ive learned that the ethics,values and principles are different and I had very hard times managing cultural differences when it came to work with the interns placed on the various stations.
