The past two weeks or so I have been so busy with my internship after the footy clinic on the Friday 12 May I had to go to Bureau Veritas Minerals Corporate Golf Day and take corporate pictures as Programmed was one of BVM clients. I had to be there by 11 am sharp by myself and meet the Branch Manager of Programmed Facility Management Brenton Dunhill to guide me to who he wanted pictures of with and where did he wanted them at. I have never seen so many guys in a room before all dressed up in their golf gears ready to play golf! I had to break out of my comfort zone and talk to people and ask them if they wanted to take pictures and I had to remember to NOT BE IN A RUSH and take my time to take their name down before taking pictures as I was taught by my supervisor the greatest, Kate Sossi. I took a whole bunch of pictures than it was the teeing off where all of them could go off and shoot some holes! During this moment, PFM Branch Manager Brenton was asking for Programmed banners and if they are places at the golf course, and there was a bit of a pickle because the banners that were sent to them were the wrong ones, and I and the Professional Trainee in that golf course had to find a pole to fit the PRogrammed banners but unfortunately there was none in sight! Since Brenton insisted in having a banner at the golf course as he wanted a picture there we had to grab the PFM poster from the hall and bring it down to the golf course so that pictures could be taken. For the first time I got to experience the other side of PR, you have to start searching and finding a solution ASAP because your on your own! And you have to make it work for the people who just won't take NO for an answer!
Despite the wind blowing and a light drizzle we manage to get the banner up and a few pictures were taken before we could take it down and I could leave. The effort to find the poles and searching for the other banners he insisted to be put up was such a mission! But I learnt how to deal with situations like that and having to make decissions on the spot.
There are pictures below from the golf day,Programmed also gave away 4 tickets to the winning teams to the Ross Cape room in the next dockers match.
DEspite all the drama's and confusion, overrall it was a good day and I have heaps of fun meeting new people, connecting with them and also experiencing the other side of PR that no one ever talks about!

On Sunday I also attended the RSPCA Million Paws walk, I had to take pictures for the morning. I have neevr seen so many dogs in my life! They were dogs that went all out and dressed up! They were dogs everywhere and all the stalls were all selling dog treats, clothes, etc. Programmed has a corporate team there I had to wait for everyone to assemble before I could take pictures, at first it was so hard to get all the dogs to remain quient when taking their owners pictures. that was a challenge! But I managed to be patient and get all the Programmed dogs together. Kate Sossi, my supervirsor brought her brother's dog Vinni and he was trying to fight with every single dog, and we had to make sure he bahaved himself. We did a 1km walk and finished the walk with a gift bag handed out to us. I was so glad and I appreciated to be apart of this occassion, I never thought my photography classes and lessons would have taken me this far in my career. I just think it is good to have photography and PR together, as it compliments the PR field.

It was a great day, all the dogs came out and play!
