As promised, I am going to share the upcoming event on Tenby International School Miri. After Tenby Open Day, the next event would be the Curtin Open Day. Hmmm, sound interesting huh? Let me tell you more now!

Curtin Open Day was held on 14th September 2013. Luckily, Tenby International School Miri was invited and set a booth at the recreation hall. For this event, I had spent around 3 weeks on discussing the detail of the event with the our supervisor and my colleagues - Vivian Lee and Wong Pei Ling.
Before the Curtin Open Day, I was busy designing a new brochure for the Curtin Open Day. While designing the brochure, I had proposed several idea and pattern to my supervisor. My supervisor is also friendly enough to guide me how to do and inform me of the requirement by Tenby International School such as font size. This brochure took me a week to complete. It is indeed a very new experience for me on designing a brochure and I feel really excited when i saw my works finally came to fruition and been printed out!!!!

Other than that, me and other interns colleagues were requested to come out with a PR event plan which including the Event Plan, Running Schedule and Checklist. Within this period, I found that planning an event is not just as simple as the thing that we usually do in the class. In the real life, budget, time consuming and some rule limited need to be concerned as well. Fortunately, my supervisor and others colleagues are very friendly and willing to guide us when we committed some mistakes. Just a day before the Curtin Open Day, we were helping out to decorate the students’ works on Science, Art, Literacy and Music on the board stand.

The purpose of this event is to get public attraction and awareness on Tenby International School Miri that the school has moved to a new location. This event involved all the Tenby Staff including the Principle as well. The event started at 1000am. However, Tenby staff arrived in the early morning for setting up the booth.
