Two events in a day!

My second week was quite hectic as there are a lot of events that we have to manage. Media release, running sheet and more works to be done in a weeks. But I swear that it was really fun. And so, here are the events where my colleagues and I caught in camera. “Bubur Lambuk Jelajah Ramadhan” is one of the constant event that is held every year, few days before Hari Raya and media (TVi ) will definitely come and conduct their interviews there. One hour before the event, all of the PR people are required to do their checklist in making sure all things are well prepared. Thus, I was told to do so and required to make sure everything is perfect.

The stage where the performances will be held and we are in-charge in making sure that the banners are up, the PA system is functioning well and nothing goes wrong.

In fact, we have to stick this on the chair according to the layout that is instructed

The fun part is that I was told to design the running schedule (a day before the event) and distribute it the guests. It might be simple and easy but honestly, I have to re-do this several times due to some changes made.
I have to admit that I was very busy helping out my other colleagues but we are given the chance to participate in the event too. Few of the workers are being interviewed and so is the PR department. It was such an experience for me to be in the event because I gain a lot exposure in term of PR industry as well as being interviewed in front of the media.

 * Summed up the pictures that I took during the event & all employees are given free “bubur lambuk” *

Although we are drain out in managing the event earlier but we have to pull it through together because there is another event to handle later that evening. As usual, we have to repeat whatever we did earlier and applied it with the second event. To add on, I was told to do the running sheet again. Yeeaahh!

Here is the sample of my work for the next event and I did it a day earlier as well.

That’s about it :)

Looks like you had a great time during the event MOna!. Im sure this was also a great learning experience. Being Interviewed by Media is one nerve-racking feeling to have. Oh well I guess PR is all about hard work and fun!

Hey fellow intern,

To be honest, your event looks so much more interesting than the one i attended. Basically, i had the task of doing phone calls to ensure invitation were sent. Not so exciting, isn't it?

I'm glad to learn about your exciting experience in the event management.

Hope you enjoy your journey
