Last Day Internship

hello everyone!

My last day internship, its Friday. TGIF. I have a mixed feeling, happy, sad and excited too. But to be honest, I missed Pustaka and I wish to continue my internship there for few more days but unfortunately I have class staring next week and it is going to be busy week for me as a lot of assignments due soon. Like really soon!. By the way,  Lets recall back what I have done through my 1 month of internship at Pustaka Miri. On the first week I did a lot of media releases for event and media clipping as well. After that, I manage to follow some event, such as ShowTime event, and become emcee for Riang Ria Hari Raya event. On week 2, I follow Pustaka to do promotion at Curtin in conjunction with Curtin Open Day 2013. It was a great experience where I communicate with the public and explain to them what Pustaka do and recruit them to register as Pustaka member. I also join Saya Sayang Pustaka Campaign, a campaign to clean the Pustaka area and at the same time create awareness to the public to keep the place clean. On my last week at Pustaka, I managed to run my own event like I wished on my first day of internship. I handle, contact people, planned, did the media release all by me self and my partner Michelle Shak. We DID IT!. It was a sweet memory. We work really hard to make the event happen. I also join outreach program where I visit rural area school Sk Sungai Liam and did some activities there and educate them to love books. Pustaka also invited the Red Crescent group to give a talk on health and how to save people. The kids are really happy and I feel so happy when see their faces when we come visit them. The school principle also a really nice person and he hope that we will visit their school again in the future. So many things I learnt at Pustaka Miri. I’m really lucky and greatful did my internship at Pustaka. Maybe after I graduate. I might apply job there as a PR person.

My certificate and some goodies from Pustaka Miri

That’s it about my internship at Pustaka. Thanks for reading my entries and I wish you good luck and all the best!

Sounds like an eventful internship for you! Running an event on your own is certainly a great achievement. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
