This year Curtin Open Day,
Pustaka are invited to open their booth and organize few games at the kid’s
corner. On that day, the staffs are doing registration and Ms Sofina and
Lillian ask me to find people to join Pustaka membership because I’m a Curtin
student. I’m so glad because few of my friends get to register to Pustaka as
this is a very good opportunity to join as membership because first the fees is
only RM 1 for WHOLE LIFE and secondly we might don’t get the chance to go
Pustaka because we might don’t have time to register or we are too busy but now
Pustaka is coming to us. I also given a chance to handle the registration booth
and at the end around 5pm we managed to get 75 people to register and few more
people renewed their membership. I am so happy on that day because I learnt how
to communicate and presenting my self to the public.

It was tiring day but it was
fun and awesome. That is because I’m not working alone and the cool supervisor always
there me for me. That makes me feel more confident and calm. Whenever the
public ask regarding policies or question that I'm not sure, the other staff
will take over. After this event, I’m going to work on my next event which is “Go
Green and 1 Malaysia” photo exhibition. It’s happening soon.

Going on a campaign to increase the membership for Pustaka Miri is certainly a noble pursuit. Have you considered an ambassador endorse your event and hopefully drive memberships?
