Greetings!
I’m very proud to say that I am almost
done with my internship program which will be finished on this coming Saturday
(15th Feb 2014)! For your information, my placement has begun on 2nd
Dec 2013 at marketing communication (MarComm) department in LMKK. There are a total of three associates in this department, including Ms
Jocelyn Banding (MarComm Manager), Ms Charlene Tan (MarComm Coordinator) and Mr
Apain Soriun (Graphic Designer).
I have received a certificate of completion from my placement during
‘Trainee Meet Up’ held on 27th Jan 2013. The ‘Trainee Meet Up’ was
organised by Human Resources department with the purpose of building
relationship between hotels’ Head of Departments and all trainees.
Few days before the ‘Trainee Meet Up’, a colleague, Melissa from Kitchen
department and I were chosen to have a presentation during that day as we’re
going to finish our training on Feb. The presentation was all about what we’ve
learnt during our placement in LMKK. When I knew I have to prepare a
presentation, I was super duper nervous and stressed. As a PR student,
presentation is not supposed to be a big deal because we used to present very
often during the class. However, I felt stressful and nervous because… I had to
present in front of my BOSS (MarComm Manager and LMKK General Manger)!!!
Fortunately, everything went smoothly. ‘Well done Summer! I never
thought you are so talkative! And you’re so energetic during your presentation.
Good Job!’ said my manager, Ms Jocelyn. However, HR manager commented it would
be better if I could be more formal during my presentation.
Undoubtedly, the presentation is so memorable and valuable. All in all, I’m
so grateful to have such opportunity to learn in this amazing five star hotel
in Kota Kinabalu. I truly believe that this experience will enhance my drive
and ability in the field of PR in future.

Awww!! it is such a great thing to be done during internship!! Glad to know you two had opportunity to do presentation. I didn't have the chance too bad. I bet it would be a great feeling to have done that!
Yier... So nice... I'm coming to the end of my internship in PEHM also this coming Friday. I hope I will have a certificate to show off too.. XP
