Hello everyone, I am actually at work and I am writing this post. I feel super hyper and this is why I really wanted to write down how I am feeling write now. Today, I have moved from my previous office which was in Port-Louis and I'm now working with the boss and the Senior to the manager who are both in Moka. The environment is totally different and I'm so happy that as from now on I will have more work to do. So the company I'm working with IMS has been working on the Trianon Shopping Park Redevelopment and to do that it has done the following :
- Visitor and Zone Surveys
- Definition of Strategy
- Drafting of Redevelopment Strategy & Feasibility Study for Phased Approach
The thing is my media kit will be in french since most of the media outlet in Mauritius write in french. I will have to submit a draft of what I have done in two days and I am super excited. I have already done a checklist as to how the press conference will be like and will send everything together in due time so as to impress the boss :P
After more than four weeks I can say that I feel that I love what I'm doing, though it is not always really very but the thing is when there is work to do an internship is awesome. Will keep you guys updated about how successful I was or how lame I was..lol..
Cheers,

Hi Rachel!
It’s great to read about your experience at your internship! I think it’s amazing that you’re enjoying your internship. I do agree with you when you say that sometimes it is difficult at work, especially when there’s not much to do or when we have to carry out trivial tasks! However, my motto is that whatever task I have to perform, no matter how insignificant it might seem, will eventually give me experience. When one works in PR, I have noticed that one has to be versatile to be able to do other things as well; you never know what tasks you might accomplish in the future!
You are so lucky to be working on a press conference and on a media kit. I actually have a few questions about that!
Did you use the same format that we used in class to compile your media kit? If yes, have your supervisor approved of that format? And finally my last query is about the amount of time you were given to work on this project.
I wish you well. I hope you acquire even more experience from your workplace!
Kind Regards,
Kritina :)
