CatsFurLife Project

Hi all !

Today is my fifth day of working at Pustaka and for the past few days, I've been busy planning out for my CatsFurLife project (will share it in more details in my next post). So far, things are good but bad on the same time because things aren't going as planned. But it is expected. And as a PR person, we should have back up plan.

For your information, upon doing internship in Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri, interns must create a project while doing internship and for my case, I choose my project by conducting a talk about cats on the 28th March 2015.

At first, I reached out to Paws & Claws, at first, the vet, Dr. Felix, agree to do the talk, but then, when we send out the official letter, unfortunately, Dr. Felix couldnt make it as his wife is about to labor during that week. Then, I reached to Bettie's Clinic, Dr. Bettie (very well-known vet in Miri) to give the talk, but because she is the only doctor in the clinic, she can't give the talk.  I am now still waiting for the reply from other veterinarians at Angel's clinic and Live Animals Medical Centre.

If all fails, then, I have to change my program to something else ! Again, as a PR person, we must have back-up plan and think ahead, in case plan A didn't work out, we have plan B, plan C and so on. Since my plan A (invite vets to the talk) seems to be facing its down turn, my next plan is to invite Zero Stray Miri to do the talk as the topic is very close to their program, the TNR program (Trap, Neuter, Release program). Now waiting for their reply of confirmation.

To add things up, other than juggling who will give the talk, I have to meet with datelines for the design of my notice to put in Pustaka and social network such as Faceook, media release for the public and also, writing few media release for Pustaka's coming events for the month and doing newspaper cutting for the past event, Hornbills Heritage week last week.

Hope things turns out well soon ! All the best to all of you too !
