I have now reached my 4th blog post fellow interns!
Well, may be it won't be the last, though. I am nearing the end of my internship yet there is so much to come.
What is new with you all?
So, the (last) semester resumed for the most of us.
Aaaah, back to school! Back to seeing the friends but above all, back to the care-free zone. Juggling with the internship and the courses is brand new experience and honestly I don't know how I feel about it.
Getting back to work today reminded me of how I am respected as an adult in the work field and how I had an amazing experience with my presentation last time.
Remember my first blog post when I told you I was working on a report? Unbelievable how time flies- I already presented my project to my supervisor, the team's web master and copywriter. Butterflies flooded my stomach all day long before the presentation, and as it was delayed it just gave me more time to stress. Fortunately, I was able to use the adrenaline of anxiety to dare speak out. I tend to loose track or simply have memory black outs when I stress but the team members were quite reassuring.
My presentation was scheduled for 15 minutes only but it turned out that I had held my superior's attention to a whole hour and a half! They took the time and considered each and every
aspect of my analysis, bench-marking and recommendations. I was myself impressed. It was more surprising as they have all three started their day very early on this day and my boss had several meetings far away from the office.
Overall, I was satisfied that all the efforts I have put have paid off as the presentation was respected and did not go as just another insignificant or annoying project.
I've had the chance to learn a lot on my own about blogging. The key to effective blogging is
trending blog design (to attract attention) and content strategy (to retain our audience).
With the advance of technology, PR people are faced to use blogs as an ongoing,
two-way communication channel. So, here is a useful link I have came across, that was in fact very helpful:
http://www.blogconsulting.com/blog/blogging-trends-for-2013-and-beyond/
I hope you are doing well buckling down for writing the report, and for those who are about to start their internship, welcome to an exciting experiment!
Wish you all good luck
Until next time
Wendy

Hello Wendy,
I enjoyed reading your blog, and wanted to first congratulate you on completing your internship and good job on your presentation, sounds like you were on your "A game". I like how you discuss blogging as an emerging powerful communications/PR tool in this day and age,I have to agree with you. I think that companies should definitely participate in corporate blogs more because it is a more creative way to get their messages out to their publics.
I also enjoy blogging on a personal level, and I'm currently in the process of constructing my own personal blog, and I'm very excited about where that will take me.
Best of luck in the future.
Naomi :)
