Hi all,
Its been a while since I have posted. This time I am going to cover the third week of my internship in Malaysia.
While I was adjusting and enjoying Malaysian working culture, I was mostly doing all the comparatively easy tasks. However, this week had some real PR action. We had a client based in Singapore and were hosting an event.
The client wanted to promote the event in Malaysia for Malaysian audiences. My supervisor handed me the task of writing up a press release for the client. I was very glad she trusted me with such a big responsibility.
However, being glad wasn't going to do my work. I started working on the press release and it turned out it was not an easy task. I worked along with another colleague and completed the press release.
What struck me was the length of the press release. We were always taught press releases must be one to two pages long. But the actual real life press release was almost five full pages.
It was a good week for me as I learned a lot.
Thanks,
Saket.
