BIG Events make for a Busy Workplace

As any person in any workplace knows that when there's a big event coming up it makes the workplace seem like a madhouse, and for the Fremantle Dockers it is no different. Having won the minor premiership earlier and with at least 2 final games guaranteed the office looks like a mad house, well I assume it does because my department is located outside the main office area and our hard work for the year is basically over.

A lot of the seasons work for my Community Goals department revolve around organising and setting up curtain raisers and other events before the Fremantle Dockers home games, but as the finals are now upon us the AFL no longer allows them.

So what does this mean for me? spare time to put the feet up? Of course not! In this time I have been still working as hard on ever on uniting all the partner clubs (Almost there, should be up in the next couple of days!) and if I'm not working on that I am assisting other departments with simple errands so the place runs smoother.

So with this I have learnt a valuable lesson, that each department isn't necessarily confined to its own tasks and can venture out and help if they have the time and resources to do so. As well as helping business operations this also helps to build better employee relationships as people from different departments can meet and work together instead of bumping into each other in the hallways or sitting next to each other in meetings. So hopefully I can get more of this in the coming days!

Thats all from me, until next time!
