There are times when we are placed into tight spots in the workplace. This may be either choosing which CSR Program to sponsor and our decisions and reasoning are torn apart due to the limited budget. However I learn that in life, we can't move on without making choices.
1. Sometimes We Need To Choose
In PR, there are certain CSR programs that deserved to be sponsored. In making choices, we need to see how big of an impact can that CSR give to the intended community? We are sometimes tempted to choose something that has less sponsorship value to conserve what is left of our budget. But then we need to think about how can the greater public benefit from it. Is it worth it?
2. Bringer of sad news
At times, people will call in and ask if we are able to sponsor or collaborate certain CSR programs. There are times we need to say NO. How can we help others if we can't help ourself.
I admit, it is hard being a PR officer. Sometimes we need to turn away those that need our help. However, we must not be discourage and keep on going. Sometimes we can turn them to other places for help. There is always a solution.
Welcome to PR Internship - YOUR opportunity to put everything you have learned over the past years at university into practice and to get a thorough insight into what public relations is like "in the real world". This Blog allows you to reflect on your experiences, share insights with other students across campuses and to possibly give advice and support to fellow students. Yeah, hard situation indeed. But in the end of the day, we are working under an organization, hence we ourselves have no choices other than to follow the procedure and policy of the company, Sadly that not all people understand that
