Events

So since i last posted a blog i have two events and both ended up running really smoothly!! thankgod!!
the first was a function with the Fremantle Football club who we sponsor. So as a corporate thankyou on their part we were asked to host an event at their grounds and watch a training session. This was a really easy event as all catering and drinks were provided by them. so set up and clean up were really easy!! we had about 70 of our current prioirty clients attend and the atmosphere was great and everything worked really well. I did manage to eat seafood which i am highly allergic to so i ended up leaving a little earlier then planned which has me now at the recieveing end of lots of terrible jokes!!
Despite my leaving 1.5 hour early the evening went well.
The second event has happened today and was a seminar on climate change in perth. this needed a lot more prep by us!! we hosted it in the offices and had 50 people attend. We organised all catering and information packs. these had in them a notebook, pen, a case study of the hypothetical, a copy of the powerpoint slide, and two information handbooks on climate change and the impact that could have upon professional services in Perth. It also contained a pack of native plant seeds packaged into a company bag. This was a really big hit with the clients and was one of the more effective, practical messages that we were able to enforce. Once again working in an industry where hours and clients are crucial it was really hard to get staff to committ to the event which resluted in lots of last minute changes. Overall it went smoothly and was a success with the clients! which is what its all about!!
