With regards to the import of the Minikin Doll, I thought that it will be a good idea to further market the doll on this blog! :) I feel that it is an excellent gift for everyone to own, since Father's Day is coming soon and most of us might be thinking of a gift for Dad.
Minikin Dolls was first started in Taiwan and China, and has proved to be a great hit over in Asia. It is simply a Polyester Resin doll with your face on it, and everything can be done online at the click of a button. By submitting four photographs of yourself (Front, back, side) you can create your own doll with a variety of figurine bodies to choose from.
The novelty of the doll might seem foreign, but it has proved to be a hit in Asia. It is the perfect gift for your loved ones, and for couples you could even get the pair figurine to keep as a momento! The size of the doll is estimated to be 12-17cm tall, and they can be easily cleaned with a wet cloth if necessary.
My supervisor Yasmin has purchased the marketing rights for the dolls in Perth, and orders have been coming in for the dolls, even though the soft launch will be held at the end of May 2008. It is certainly a novelty item that will look good on your bedroom shelf or coffee table.
