Mothers Day Fete Day

Owhkay i should have posted before this event take place ( free promotion here) however it must've slipped my mind as we were busy tossing around letters and ads to invite the Shenton Park community to join in last Sunday. This certainly is the first corporate event for me, and it was certainly a whole new experience. Was very impressed really with community involvement that Sunday, although i expected the Fete was a small event somehow, but the public were generally very receptive.

Luckily our neighbors were holding an art exhibition so this lonely stretch of road receives more traffic hence people who were willing to drop in to join in the Mothers Day spirit. Not to mention, it was a beautiful day throughout the event, not too hot, not too chilly. Throughout the day we had stalls filled with volunteers selling sausage sizzles, various tea infusions, gifts, plants and cats. More than 20 were adopted on that Sunday alone. Twas great being part of the team of volunteers shaking tins for donations and selling ice cream sticks for a free spin at the wheel of fortune ( $1 for a lucky ice cream stick and winner gets to chose any prize) . Managed to blare my bargain on the mic for people to purchase an ice cream stick. And when it came the time to spin, a few people had their lucky stories that day.

Aha and the cats were of course the main stars of the day as they never fail to amaze me at how much attention they seem to be getting at all times. Its a wonder that they seem to have fans wherever they go,whatever they do.

Well I admit I cant help watching them myself.
