A late introduction

Hi everyone,

I'm Tobias - a final year student from Bentley campus.
Throughout the semester I've been completing my internship with a consultancy called Impact Communications.

Impact are a boutique consultancy who employ 7 staff at their East Perth office. They specialise in corporate event management and marketing communications for a range of clients such as DPC, DPI, DoW, Rio Tinto, Water Corporation and MRWA (lots of government agencies as you can see!).

The consultancy is a family run business with the two directors being married and two of their sons being employed as consultants. Impact has been in business since 1987 and prides themselves on the fact that a handful of their clients and suppliers have been with them for the whole 22 year period (and still counting!) - I think that there is an amazing lesson in relationship management to be learnt here!

I've been fortunate enough to be taking my placement with them and throughout the course of my internship so far, I have found this office to be an absoloute wealth of knowledge!

I'd just like to comment on how exciting it has been to work on a range of events - I personally enjoy how our relaxed and quiet atmosphere quickly changes at the drop of a hat when it comes event day! I love working under pressure and can assure you, when working for large government clients...there is plenty of pressure to go around!

I hope you all have been enjoying your placements as much as I have so far!

Hi Tobias,

This company of yours seems very interesting. I think that this is a great opportunity for you, working with all those skilled and experienced people. From what you have said about relationship management, yes it is important. This just proves that communication and having good relationship with your clients is very important as this will help to retain customers.

Hi Tobias

I saw those advertisements on the buildings your company was doing and i thought they were fantastic! Are they only permitted for the Government? Will they be used for future marketing communications? I'm so intrigued by this new form of message communication- could be very good to promote events!
